Unfortunately for us, it seems that Greek has only one word for "and" - και (kai). And that could mean "and", "also", "even", "so", "then", "too", etc. Copulative and cumulative. "Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God." How about, "Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord even my God." ? This is more in keeping with the rest of the Bible.
